Option #1: Service Example of Six Sigma
There are three Social Security offices in the local area handling new social security applications. Using the data below, determine at what sigma level (range) each office is working, and what is the sigma level if they improve to only 1 error for the same number of occurrences.
- Location 1: 4 errors per 5700 occurrences
- Location 2: 4 errors per 8310 occurrences
- Location 3: 4 errors per 13,220 occurrences
Is it impossible to meet a six-sigma level? Why or why not?
Submission:
- Prepare a 3- to 4-page paper (not including the required title and reference pages and any appendices you may wish to include) detailing and compiling the specifics to items 1-4 above.
- Support your paper with a minimum of three current (published in the most recent five years) scholarly sources from the CSU-Global Library, in addition to any course textbooks or lecture material you decide to use.
