application community description

Application: Community Description

A community can be defined broadly in many different ways. From a biological perspective, a community is a group of organisms interacting and sharing an environment. From a social perspective, a community is a group of people with similar ideas, beliefs, preferences, and needs. A community is also a melting pot of various individuals with different jobs, ideas, wants, and needs all coexisting in a certain region. To achieve sustainability within a community, you must first understand the community. One way to do this is to write a community description. A community description consists of various components ranging from demographic information to issues of concern in the community. Each component of a community description is designed to give you a more in-depth understanding of the community with which you are working to achieve sustainability.
