I have attached an article from an 1999 issue of Corrections Today calling for cognitive training for sex offenders, who often display flawed thinking in their decision-making. In other words helping offenders might improve their analytical and reasoning skills. Maybe if we can re-program their thinking we reduce the likelihood of their re-offending. Note: Cognitive training is now part of many correctional systems’ re-entry programs for all types of offenders. Your thoughts?
