This week, we watched two pop culture interviews featuring R. Kelly and Taylor Swift. For this assignment, you will write an essay (no less than 500 words) analyzing and giving your reaction to the interviews, as well your opinion on the effects of these broadcasts in the world of pop culture.

In your essay, also answer these questions:

What was the tone of the two interviews?

Did the setting contribute to the tone?

Explain your thoughts on Gayle King’s reaction to her interview with R. Kelly.

Do you think a contentious or a happy interview creates a bigger impact on pop culture?

If you had been the interviewer, what additional questions might you have asked and why?

What other observations did you gather?
